Guest guest
Namaste This may look trivial. But, for convenient retrieval of older posts for reference, it is necessary to note the following. We are living in a computer age and so it appears we have to be sensitive to the way our 'subject' headings appear when replying to other's posts; otherwise they go under different 'threads' . Here are two examples. Importance and uniqueness of Buddhist Path, michael Reidy, is in a thread in which there is one single post. Importance and uniqueness of Buddhist path., michael Reidy, is in a different thread, far removed from the above one, with half a dozen posts in that thread. The difference between the two threads is in the spelling of the words 'path' and 'Path' and the absence of a period (.) at the end in one. Just one more example: Re: Practical methods for the spiritual ascent., Sundar Rajan, Re: Practical methods for the spiritual ascent, V. Krishnamurthy, Though these two should have been in the same thread, the thread index shows them in different threads each with several members. The mistake is mine; because, in replying to Sundar Rajan's post, instead of copying his subject heading and pasting it on my mail, I ventured to type it from memory and thus missed the full stop at the end. Just because of this punctuation difference, the two are under two separate threads. I have noted several such instances in the thread index, for which the fault is not our understanding, but our not remembering that the computer sees what we do not see! Please let me not be mistaken for making much ado about nothing. For the convenience of future users of the thread index and for an effective use of the same, it may be necessary for us to conform to the requirement of the computer's quirks. Thank you for the time. praNAms to all advaitins, profvk ===== Prof. V.
