My name is Ashok Gollerkeri. I work as a Marine Radio Officer in an offshore oil rig in Bombay High on a 14 days work at sea, 14 days off at home pattern. I live in Bangalore and am married with one 7 year old son. I have not been a student or disciple of any teacher or religion/philosophy/school of thought. However, I have occasionally read from various scriptures cutting across all religious/philosophical divisions. The connecting thread that unites us all interests me more than the manmade barriers that divide humanity. I do not practice any particular meditation, discipline or technique nor do I lead or follow any person. I have written about 220 essays on self enquiry in the last 6 months and continue to write 1 or 2 essays a day focusing on self enquiry in one way or another. I send one essay a month to members of my group "AshokGollerkeriWritesToYou". The group URL is: AshokGollerkeriWritesToYou I also post one essay in about 2 months on groups like these and like to interact/keep in touch with people interested in self enquiry/spirituality. Regarding Adi Sankaracharya's work, I have read and immensely enjoyed Vivekachoodamani in particular. I return to Vivekachoodamani occasionally and find even a single verse most inspiring. Bhajagovindam is also a great practical guide to navigate the stormy seas of life. Love and best wishes to all of you, Ashok Gollerkeri ashok_gollerkeri
