Guest guest
Your Help for A Noble Venture Sri Rudra Ghana Patha - In Audio Form Dear Sirs,Veda Abhimanies, Astikaas Thanks for your interest in Sri Rudra Ghana Patha and Pancha Rudra Ghana Patha authored by Sri. K Suresh and released by H H Sri Jeyendra Saraswati Swamigal of Kanchi Mutt during June 2002. There is a good response for these books, from many people, and some are keeping these books in pooja room for their family benefits. I understand from many people who are interested in Veda Ghana Patha to keep this book along with audio form, so that they could understand and also try to understand/learn. After all Veda is Sruti. (learning by hearing) Hence, to fulfill the desire of all astikas/ Veda Abhimanies, we have to release this Sri Rudra Ghana Patha in full, in audio form. As you might have known, that even to release the Ghana patha in Script form involved so many man hours, finance and human effort, since, that was first time in the world, and that too invested/deployed singly by Sri.K Suresh and Smt.Latha. Now, this is the time, we have to contribute to the new projects so that at least the financial issues could be solved to some extent, so that many people like us would get benefited by (y)our contributions: Sri Rudra Ghana Patha in Audio form involves at least Rs.50 lacs. (Indian Rs.5 Millions) (This could be at least 3 cassettes/CDs. Moreover, huge expenses would be expected on promotion - that the message be reached to the interested persons through media/ magazines, and further, it would be distributed at concessional rate and/or free of cost to them) Further, the expenses for Veda Pundit Recitors, Expenses on Printing on cassettes, lables&Covers to cassettes, Cost of Blank Audio Cassettes, Transport, Recording in digital form, Alignment of Audio tracks, Music Expenses, packaging, sound mixing and other expenses. At present, we would like to release at least 30,000 sets (one set will have 3 cassettes or CDs) This cassettes/Cds could be played in your home (this is intended for home use only and not for public playing/broad casting) unless otherwise obtain permission from the producer (that is me). About Sri Rudra Ghana Paatha - Audio Form By reciting Veda once, he becomes pure on that day. But by reciting Rudra the very next moment he gets purified. Sri Rudram, also called Sata Rudreeyam, is considered an Upanishad, one of 108 Upanishads. Sri Rudram occurs in the middle of the Taittiriya Samhita of Sri Krishna Yajur Veda with total of 169 mantras in the 4th Kanda, 5th Prasna, in 11 Anuvakas. Many times salutations are offered in Sri Rudram and God is always pleased with repeated namaskaras. Rudra in these hymns is not a sectarian deity, but the supreme Lord in several forms enlightening, His omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience and the Lord of evolution who continuously guides the universe from one level of perfection to the higher one. It is the only hymn of its kind in the religious literature of the entire world which focuses on the idea of God, not only associated with the ideas of pleasant and good, but also with the idea of dread and destruction. i.e., that the God permeates everything in manifestation, including aspects deemed not ethical by the purists and fault-finders. Various meanings are given to Rudra, derived from the meanings of its roots namely "ru", to cry or to teach, "rud", to make a person weep, and "dra" to flow. Hence Rudra is considered as a deity who teaches the supreme knowledge to all; another meaning is, he whose energy flows in everything. Sri Rudram is a solution or remedy for removal of the five maha pathaka (sins). (like 1. drinks, 2. liking of teacher's wife, 3. looting of gold, 4. Brahma hathi 5. looting from temple.) Sri Rudram is great because it contains the holiest of the holy Panchakshara (five letter) Mantra "Nama : Sivaya." Thus Rudram and Chamakam leads one from Sakama to Nishkaama. Rudra is (Shiva), Agni Swarupa. It is stated that people desirous of all auspicious things have to worship the Agni Svarupa Rudra through Japa, Homa, Abhiseka and Archana. By watering the tree at the base of the trunk all the parts of the tree including branches, leaves, fruits etc are strengthened. In the same way by worshipping Shiva (1) all his related Devas will be pleased and one will get both the earthly and heavenly benefits including liberation. (2) all the evil manifestations (in your home) in the neighbourhood and in the village premises will be driven of, (3) all worries/ sorrows will be removed in the entire area. (4) Pours Wealth (5) Release from all disease, cheating, unwarranted punishment, (6) relief from the sins like forgetting of immense help from others, killing of surrendered person, Ghana paatha : This is one of the most popular form of recitations and requires years of learning and practice by the student. A scholar proficient in recitation in this format is honored as Ghana paathi. In Ghana Paatha the combination will be: 1-2-2-1-1-2-3-3-2-1-1-2-3, 2-3-3-2-2-3-4-4-3-2-2-3-4, 3-4-4-3-3-4-5-5-4-3-3-4-5 and so on till last pada ends in that sentence. Hence, Jata + 3rd Pada + Inverse of 3 Padas + 3 Padas in Straight way = Ghana Patha. It is to be noted, there all 13 padas has to recited together with proper sandhi (junction) In Ghana Paatha, there will be 12 sandhies. When we listen to a Ghana Paathi reciting Vedas in Ghana form, we note that he repeats Padas in various ways, back and forth and in different patterns. This would be pleasant to the ears and creates a sense of happiness within. It would seem that the natural splendor of the Veda mantras is heightened, as it were. We understand from others that Ghana recitation is several orders higher in merit (infinite) and give Pala (Benefits) to us. By repeating the words in manifold ways, the correct tally of the words was also kept which naturally ensure the purity of the texts. It is also believed that higher merits (punya) accompany greater complexities in chanting – for example, a Ghana recitation is several orders higher in merit (infinite) than Jata recitation, (1000 units) which is higher in merit than krama recitation (4 times), Pada recitation 2 times the punya (or merit or phala) of Samhita recitation (which equals to Single Time). If we express this (Ghana Patha) in Mathematical series: Mathematical Sequence, Series for Ghana Patha: Sentence (S) = P1, P2, P3, ....... P(n-2), P(n-1), Pn Jata Turn (T) number (T1 to n-2) Turn 1 (T1) = P1, P2, P2, P1, P1, P2, P3, P3, P2, P1, P1, P2, P3 ; Turn 2 (T2) = P2, P3, P3, P2, P2, P3, P4, P4, P3, P2, P2, P3, P4 ; .............. .............. .............. Turn n-2 (Tn-2) = P(n-2), P(n-1), P(n-1), P(n-2), P(n-2), P(n-1), Pn, Pn, P(n-), P(n-2), P(n-2), P(n-1), Pn ; Turn n-1(Tn-1) = P(n-1), Pn, Pn, P(n-1), P(n-1), Pn ** Hence General Combination for Ghana Patha is : Turn n-2 (Tn-2) = P(n-2), P(n-1), P(n-1), P(n-2), P(n-2), P(n-1), Pn, Pn, P(n-), P(n-2), P(n-2), P(n-1), Pn ; where, n > 2, and Max No. of Turn < n-1 (without any Veshtana) Pn = nth Pada in a Sentence Tn = Turn of Jata Patha n = Number of Pada in a Sentence We can now appreciate the rigor, a Ghana paathi has to go through in his education to learn, by heart, the thousands of mantras, to be able to recite in Ghana form. The copies required by you would be sent free of cost, depending on the price and other cost of shipment on priority basis, which would be intimated to you in advance. When Veda Ghanam is in audio form, you and many other people would hear at any time without keeping the book always, but can practice to recite/ chant in future. Even other wise, it is fortune/beneficial for us to play at our home. In Ghana Patha, the word ''Namaha '' is repeated so many times, which is very auspicious to us. Your help is vital at this juncture with your gesture by informing your friends and relatives about this noble project, also by contributing some amount depending on your ability/possibility, so that many people would get benefited and make this noble project a success. It is further emphasised that, even by keeping these books and cassettes/CDs at home, would give manifold benefits to the native. Moreover, your help in brining this holy work, would definitely give you all the blessings from Sri Rudra and also from the people who use these with your help/charity.
