Namaste,

The Mahabharata text is probably better accessible at:

http://www.hindunet.org/mahabharata/txt/13.txt

Shraddha is explained by Bhishma to Yudhishthira in:

anushaasana parva - adhyaaya 87-92

Regards,

Sunder

Namaste,

Yes that is right no doubt but don't you think it would be better not

to need it and die to all this illusion whilst in the

body?....ONS..Tony.

Namaste,

Indeed so! But few can do it in one life-time!

As the Gita says:

anekajanmasa.nsiddhastato yaati paraaM gatim.h .. 6\-45..

perfected through many births, one reaches the Supreme...

[also verses 6:40-44]

Sunder

Namaste.

The feeling that "one has to die to all this illusion whilst in the

body" demands a reading and understanding of the scriptures whatever

they are. I mean relevant preparations. The reasons: (a) There is

a feeling that one is in the body, and (b) a need to die to all the

illusion is set as the goal. The site suggested by Sunderji might

just help in the process.

Pranams.

Madathil Nair

Tony-Ji asked Sunder-Ji......

"but don't you think it would be better not

to need it (the link on shrAddha) and die to all this illusion whilst

in the

body?"
