Guest guest
Sri Bhaskar has suggested several topics that may be grouped into the following two for discussion purposes: (1) The Historical Perspectives of Vedanta drushi-srushti vAda, srushti-drushti vAda, ajAti vAda prasankyana vAda, Vignaana vAda philosophical difference between bhAmati & vivaraNa Honestly many websites contain detailed description of the historical perspective. References: The advaita Vedanta site (http://www.advaita-vedanta.org/avhp/), The Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Site: (http://www.kamakoti.org) Dennis Waite's advaita site: (http://www.advaita.org.uk/) Links to Advaita Related: (advaitin/links) I encourage our members to volunteer and to present and summarize the related materials to the fellow members. (2) Relevance of fate and free-will in Advaita Vedanta We have discussed fate and free-will in greater details at least two times before. We could discuss this topic again if there is sufficient interest. If there is sufficient interest and if Dennis Waite wants to lead the discussions we could start this from next month. Sri Benjamin poses the following question as a topic for discussion: (3) Should pleasure be avoided as much as possible? Or is it merely a matter of moderation? Can pleasure even be absorbed into realization with the proper 'attitude'? This is again an important topic for discussion and once again we need a volunteer to come forward to lead the discussion. Looking forward to hear from Volunteer Discussion Leaders Warmest regards, Ram chandran
