Guest guest
Namaskar, What is re-incarnation ? Firstly, does the invidual Jiva re-incarnate ? I assume Sri Shankaracharya did not deny it since the famous Bhaja Govindam does mention it in "Punarapi Jananam Punarapi Maranam Punarapi Janani Jatare Shayanam..." . Why do not other seers like Lord Jesus speak about it. I read about just one line where it mentioned that he says "Before Abraham was I am ". But can this be interpreted as meaning that he was Abraham in his previous life ? If re-incarnation is not there, why should anyone make an attempt at all towards realisation ? I hope the answer to this question is not ' He doesn't have to ' . If re-incarnation is indeed true, are there other spheres or worlds where the Jiva exist until it gets into another body ? I would think these again are a creation of the mind since the world itself is said to exist only in the mind. Is this correct ? Are there any old messages which has answers to these questions ? He was speaking as a Jivanmukti. In the bible there are many references to reincarnation and karma, but much misunderstood and expurgated. In early Christianity 'Resurrection was the word for Reincarnation..........ONS....Tony.

Shree Venkat It is only jiiva that reincornates to exhaust his/her vasana-s. Since there is big bank balance - sanchita karma that need to be exhausted and jiiva gravitate towards an environment that is conducive to exhaust those praticular vasana-s that are ready to germinate. He picks up the apppropriate upaadhi-s (body, mind and intellect) required to exhaust those particualar vasunas. With respect to Iswara we do not call as re-incornation just incornation or avataara. Since there is no individual vasana that need to be exhausted. Iswara takes birth only governed by total vasana-s or samashhTi vasanas. Hari OM! Is it all Karma done in this birth ? So prarabdha will be the karma from earlier births ?I read somewhere that some form of karmas get their force felt in other spheres and certain karmas can fruiten only in this world. Is there anything said about this in the scriptures ? Om Tat Sat Guru Venkat Platinum - Watch CBS' NCAA March Madness, live on your desktop! It is an excellent book that gives methodically some of the very basic questions. Sanchita is the total account of which we bring into this life part that can be exhausted - that is called prarabda and when we accumulate new ones that which cannot be exhusted in this life is deposited into our total account - that new deposit is called aagaami karma. So we get into the cycle of karma to janma to karma. Hari OM! Sadananda ===== What you have is His gift to you and what you do with what you have is your gift to Him - Swami Chinmayananda.
