Shree Ranjeet - I am taking the liberty to post my reply to the group since others may have the same problem. If I remember right, Chapters are designated with roman letters I, II, III IV followed by suutra number and letter designation a, b, c etc when there was more than one post. The designation also evolved as we were posting it. Ch I is introduction and Chapter II relates to pramaaNa-s. Chapter III deals with adhyaasa bhaashya. This is very important chapter and Shree Dennis has transcribed this section eliminating most of the Sanskrit words. Dennis notes may also be stored - not sure in the folder or not. The discussion on suutra-s start from Ch. IV. We finished fourth suutra. For some reason or other posting of the notes stooped after that. Due to my poor language, typing and proof reading skills, I need lot more help and when that becomes available I could resume the notes. But studying the Ch. III and Dennis notes on that will be very helpful in understanding Advaita. Hari OM! Hari Om! I must say that I had exactly the same reaction when I visited these files a long time ago. Something as difficult as the Brahmasutras needs to be 'user-friendly'. Also, an introduction or overview would be nice, though perhaps Dennis' notes will do the job. It's nice to know that I can focus on Ch. III and Dennis' notes. That's very helpful, since we are all busy. Pranams Benjamin
Guest guest
Ranjeet was asking about Brahmasutra notes and Sadananda said: "Dennis notes may also be stored - not sure in the folder or not." The notes on adhyAsa, rewritten to omit Sanskrit and simplify some of the reasoning, can be found at my website - www.advaita.org.uk/adhyasa.htm .
