Guest guest
This may shed some light on my previous posts regarding reflected selves and the question by Benjamin about enjoying Beethoven after enlightenment. To have an 'I' and a 'that' means a reflected self, to have simply an 'I', self, of itself means the non-reflecting totality. The 'I' and the 'that' both rely on being. So too does the 'I' SELF, of itself, it is BEing The AM, the beingness. The 'I' and 'that' only exist ''when'' the whole is reflecting on itself. *''When'' the whole is a self existent whole and is NOT-reflecting then there is NO THAT!!* Now, consider 'My understanding of THAT' When 'My current understanding of the that' is dissolved when self realizes self then what remains is not the I or a THAT to *figure out* but simply self of itself. Any thoughts or conception about an 'I' and a 'that' are coming from a reflected selfs' point of view. And, any thoughts such as 'I' have an understanding of 'this' or 'that' is a reflecting self considering the nature of what it 'sees' and then tries to explain. *What it sees when it looks out is in fact its very own self* When the 'this' or the 'that' 'disappears' through self realization then the 'I' and the understanding are seen to be a part of the totality of the ONE self existent self, not split into two notions of I and I / my understanding. EVEN the I and its UNDERSTANDING is split between the I and the THAT of the reflected self, and even the I and the reflected selfs' UNDERSTANDING are a part of the functioning or circumstance in the one self. The I am, the all that is, IS the self existent whole. The 'I' (in context of the that ) is the reflected whole and the 'that' is what the reflected whole sees when it looks backs at itself. There is no which came first. There is no separation from the 'I' and the 'that' apart from the perception of separation because of a difference in the level of awareness when self is looking back on itself. There is what supports being-ness, there is self, there is self reflecting on self, and there is that, and 'that' is what the reflected self 'sees' when it looks back on itself ( the whole ). This is all the one self existent whole. The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.
