Guest guest
Namaste All, I have a question: I have often pondered on the subject of 'Who' allocates the measure of each lifetime's karma. Is it an almost accidental thing, where circumstances of life attract various suitable karmas? Do Devas really help in this situation or is it one's own Higher Self all the time? Or is it just interpretation. Is it the Universal Mind itself dealing with its constituent parts.........ONS....Tony.

As we see our lives laid out before us before we take rebirth, the individual entity is obviously involved. So karmic memory is distributed as part of the Universal Mind and its individualised constituent entities.........It seems there may even be free choice on the other side whereas there is none here.....ONS..Tony. There is further clarification in Arthur Osborne's 'Ramana Maharshi and the Path of Self Knowledge'. '...when someone referred to the passing away of the mother he corrected him curtly, 'She did not pass away, she was absorbed.'' 'Describing the process afterwards, he said: 'Innate tendencies and the subtle memory of past experiences leading to future possibilities became very active. Scene after scene rolled before her in her subtle consciousness, the outer senses having already gone. The soul was passing through a series of experiences, thus avoiding the need for rebirth and making possible Union with the Spirit. The soul was at last disrobed of the subtle sheaths before it reached the final Destination, the Supreme Peace of Liberation from which there is no return to ignorance.' Bhagavad Gita tells us to be careful about what one thinks about at the time of death. If we train ourselves in atma vicara the mind will automatically dive deep by means of Enquiry at that time.
