Maybe it is the Gods in Devloka and other worlds conspiring and sustaining this world for their own benefit ? Whatever it is, nothng seems to make sense in this world except Sankara's statement : Brahma Satyam Jagan Mityam. When you look at all the destruction around you and yet somehow you seem to be going on a smooth path, until someday death and sorrow strikes at your family and yourself ultimately; you tend to think that this world is just a bizzare set of events. I guess nobody has a clear answer to why / when all this started. You are told this has been there forever and stop wasting time on this pointless question!! But sure enough we have some guidance; mostly the saints who have lived and seen through the veil, and the scriptures. It seems Prakriti, the dancer is always trying to show Purusha the truth. It is Purusha who has to open his eyes and see the truth. The moment he does this, Prakriti gets shy and stops her dance. So nobody is hiding the truth. we have to just make the attempt to open our eyes I guess!!
