TEXT 34 bhajagovindam bhajagovindam govindam bhajamuudhamate naamasmaranaadanyamupaayam nahi pashyaamo bhavatarane Worship Govinda, worship Govinda, worship Govinda, Oh fool! Other than chanting the Lord's names, there is no other way to cross the life's ocean. --------- These shlokas from Shankaracharya's Bhaja Govindam are simple. They tell us all we need to know in life. Shri Ramakrishna was not a pandit, but his devotion attracted the best of India! A devotee spreads the Lord's message throughout the land. Shri Ramakrishna would weep at the mere thought of Mother. He was infused with Bhakti, and at the same time had the most acute Jnana. Through his devotion in selfless states he was the wisest of men. Pandits even went to learn from him. This is the great message... to focus on the Lord within yourself, within other's hearts leads to Jnana. What comes first, Jnana or Bhakti? Which reigns more supreme? Maybe these questions don't have answers. Maybe they shouldn't have answers. To each his own. Some sadhus contemplate silently in a the Himalayas. Some devotees sing the name of the Lord and see the Lord everywhere. We must remember the Lord in all thought. Om Shanti, Shishya
