Guest guest
Dear Sadananda, <<There are 8 tapes all together and Shree Balan, Secretary of the Chinmaya Mission Washington Regional Center, informs me that the quality of the tapes is excellent. The total costs of the tapes is $20/- and shipping costs are $5/- within US. Those who want to order the tapes can send an email to "S. Balan" sbalan and mail the check to (Attn: S. Balan) Chinmaya Mission, 46 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD 20905. The checks are payable to Chinmaya Mission.>> What about those of us who are unfortunate enough to live outside of the US? Guest guest
Dennis - there should not be a problem - only the postage $5/- may not be sufficient - I will find out if any interest - how much it cost to ship by airmail and sea-mail. Guest guest
Sada-ji, The problem is (I believe) that it is not possible to simply send a cheque - banks will not accept them from foreign countries. And if a special international cheque (or whatever they are called) is used, these cost around $25 themselves (or more)! The usual method for international payment is VISA /Mastercard, which does not incur any charge. Alternatively, many websites use Paypal, which is effectively an electronic currency, convertible at the recipient's end if they wish. K Kathirasan's suggestion of transferring to CD sounds a useful way of reducing the cost, though this still doesn't solve the basic problem. Of course, if it were in MP3 format you could put it onto the web for download! Best wishes, Dennis
