Guest guest
Namaste Sri Tony: Let me share my 2 cents worth of what I have to say: I have seen in newspaper columns, some reports post distortive statements using 'selective sentences' to make their point. In my last post, I mentioned that the context is quite important. But you still want to choose one sentence from Keshav Menon to validate your one liner. As you are aware, Vedanta is a serious subject and indepth analysis becomes necessary to understand the position of Sankara. We should carefully look at the visible ifs and buts in his sentence and the invisible contexts to get full understanding. When we see contradictions in the upanishads, almost all the time, the fault only lies on our understanding and certainly we can't derive the conclusion that the scriptures are wrong. Finally, we all need to be aware that posting in this Vedantic list is a privilege and that right needs to be exercised with caution and consideration. I know that you will agree that we don't want to transfer this list discussions into newspaper gossipings! Once again thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding, Warmest regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, "Tony O'Clery" <aoclery> wrote: > advaitin, "Ram Chandran" <rchandran@c...> > wrote: > > Namaste Sri Tony: > > > > This will be my final post on this topic underdiscussion.
