Objectless and Object-oriented consciousness- Importance of Mandukya Upanishad

The arguments of advaita-vedanta regerding deep sleep and dream state

have never been and cannot be (in my opinion) refuted. Please visit

I am currently in the process of defending the Mandukya Upanishad

from another member in the list mentioned above. The Mandukya

upanishad is sufficient (in my opinion) to bring down the super-

structure of many opponents.(Dont get confused by my name, I am

hoping to defend advaita-vedanta)

 

A brief review. O for opponent, M for Me.

 

O - consciousness is meaningless without objects.

M - the state of deep sleep contradicts your claim.

O - deep sleep is not objectless consciousness because so&so
