If you actually *read* that recent long discussion with Sadanandaji,

you will see that substantial progress has been made and substantial

agreement reached. And the topic is important to understanding

Advaita from an educated Western perspective. Sri Dennis' interest

is testimony to that.

 

Also, it is not good to compare sincere spiritual inquiry to smoking.

I can think of hardly a worse analogy!!! Rather, you should be glad

that someone really CARES.

The Indian saying, that "analogies can be effective only when the

writer and reader see eye to eye each other" is quite accurate. Your

reply indeed provided additional confirmation.

 

Here after, I will try my level best not to introduce any analogy

while replying to you. The discussions between you, Sadaji and

others, though lengthy were both civil and insightful.
