Dear Mr. Nair,

Thank you for responding, although it is short.

Tantra is not based on negation but on embrace. That does not mean

indulgence and neither is there surpression.

When all human beings would suddenly die, the world will keep on turning.

You do not have a body? Some philosophers are excellent jugglers. Did you

ever wonder about the possibilities of the nervous system in a human being?

That is where the advaitic realistion/initiation takes place as Grace isn¹t

it so? If the entire universe would be totally insentient ...

You are aware that Ramana Maharshi was not unaware with Tantra?

And that there is a very distinct and rather extensive thread of non-dual

Tantra?

Ever heard e.g. of the great Abhinavaguptacharya?

Am I mistaken to sense that some people on this list seem to be rather

short-minded and offensive to people who try to add another perspective? I

find it highly interesting and astonishing. Seems that there is quite some

Œadvaitic¹ fundamentalism with some esteemed members here... Then always

there will be religious wars. What is the difference between Advaita and

Love?

Kind regards,

Ralph.

Namaste Rev. Ralph Nataraj.

My comments, to the relevant extent, are in brackets.

Rev. Nataraj:

> When all human beings would suddenly die, the world will keep on

turning.

[Madathil Nair: Who is there to see the world turning? Without

anybody seeing, can it have existence? This is what we are

discussing.]

Rev. Nataraj:

> You do not have a body? Some philosophers are excellent jugglers.

Did you

> ever wonder about the possibilities of the nervous system in a

[Madathil Nair: I know I have a body and it has a nervous system

with wondrous capabilities. I too have a cat out there in my

courtyard with a body having more wonderful capabilities which my

body doesn't possess. All these are there because I AM.]

Rev. Nataraj:

If the entire universe would be totally insentient ...

[Madathil Nair: You need someone to appreciate that insentient

universe. Dont you? What is that? With one 'if' you have answered

all the debators here on the existence of objects!]

Rev. Nataraj:

> You are aware that Ramana Maharshi was not unaware with Tantra?

(Madathil Nair: I am not very sure if he has said anything. Our

Vioricaji might have a quote here. Being what He was, the Master

should have definitely known.]

Rev. Nataraj:

> And that there is a very distinct and rather extensive thread of

non-dual

> Tantra?

[Madathil Nair: So be it.]

Rev. Natraj:

> Ever heard e.g. of the great Abhinavaguptacharya?

[Madathil Nair: Yes. I believe I have gleaned what is essential

from him although I might not have read all his works in original

form. His commentary on the Bhagawad GItA is at the GItA supersite.

I have the liberty to ignore what is not relevant to my advaitic

vision solidly based on the teachings of Sankara.]

[Madathil Nair: The moderators have answered you at the bottom of

your post. About the last question, I don't have to look for

differences when I am both advaita and love. What in the world

inspired you to ask that question! I am not for religious wars. I

don't think anybody else here is. Om ShAntih, Shantih, Shantihi!]

Kind regards.

Madathil Nair
