Guest guest
Here is how Nietzshe defined the traits for his Superman, it is an excerpt fom my recent eBook titled "People Super Highway; the Mystique & Quest of Soul." --- Nietzsche's Superman Having coined the phrase "God is Dead," it is no surprise that Nietzsche needed another image as a replacement for God. So, he created the Superman image by extending his earthly experience. Since he did not believe in equality as is evident from his master-slave morality concept, the phenomenon of a Superman easily fit Nietzsche's way of thinking. Nietzsche's Superman & its Qualities -Superman is not a product of a mechanical process of evolution but rather the next stage after Will to Power expresses itself. -Man is something to be surpassed in his physical, intellectual and emotional strength, the Superman represents that higher level of development. -Superman is truly a free man for whom nothing is forbidden except what obstructs the Will to Power - he is the very embodiment of the spontaneous affirmation of life. -Superman is not a tyrant; he has both Dionysian and Apollonian elements in him (for Nietzsche, Dionysus was the symbol of the dynamic stream of life, which knows no restraint or barriers and defies all limitations - on the other hand, Apollo was the symbol of order, restraint, and form - the power to create beauty through art). -Superman is a passionate man who has his passions under control and his animal nature harmonized with his intellect - thereby, giving style to his behavior. -Superman understands the proper relation between thought and life, as did Socrates, who recognized that thought serves life and not the other way around in which life served thought and knowledge. -Superman is more like Goethe and also like the Roman Caesar with Christ's soul. ------- For more on this and related subjects, please visit my eBook site at: http://www.PeopleSuperHighway.com Regards & all the best, Dave Anand
