Guest guest
A few days ago, I received an email from Sri V. Ganesan, the Grand Nephew of Sri Ramana Maharshi. Some of his comments and quotes are interesting and helpful: Jnana marga (the Path of Knowledge) is the highest and the purest teaching in the realm of spirituality. To remain ever as the non-dual Self (Advaita) is the essence of jnana-marga. Swami Vivekananda said: "If taken as theory, Advaita (the teachings of non-duality) is a millstone around one's neck; but if put into practice, it is Liberation itself". Bhagavan Ramana lived this Truth every moment of His 54 years of living at Arunachala. His last instructions: "Put the Teaching into Practice" to the 20 and odd old devotees who approached him for his final message. Books written on jnana marga are therefore only sign-posts. One has to practice it every moment of one's life. Bhagavan Ramana when asked as to how to progress in sadhana (spiritual practice) replied: "Practice, Practice, Practice!" ************************************************** Today I created two new . One is called "Talks On Inquiry". Once per month a dialogue from the book "Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi" that has as a main topic Self-inquiry will be posted with no commentary. The fact that I will not be making any commentary is a good enough reason to join this group! LOL To Join this new group click: Talks_On_Inquiry/ then click "Join this group". The other group I created today is called Direct Path. It serves two purposes: #1. It duplicates the information found in the links on the Direct Path Links Directory, so that when there is some technical problem accessing the Direct Path Links Directory, one can just look in the Files section of this new group and find most of the same teachings. #2. When a new link is added to the Direct Path Linksy, members will be notified. For those who like things tidy and organized, in the new group's Files section, each Ring of Teachings has its own folder. Thrilling huh? To join this new group click: Direct_Path/ then click "Join this group". Take care, with Love, Michael L.
