Guest guest
Namaste, With reference to Shri Sunder's and Shri Sadananda's messages of 2nd Jan, I should say that the 8 articles meant to introduce Shri Atmananda's teachings are now over (though of course I will try to answer any remaining questions about them). So it is Shri Sunder's options 2, 3 and 4 which will naturally take over, as they seem to be doing quite effectively at present. With continuing thanks to fellos list members for their stimulating and helpful discussions, Ananda ---------------- Shri Sunder's options 2, 3 and 4 are: 2. Focus on the series Soundarya lahari, or Advaita Manjari. 3. Members may post their questions or thoughts about Advaita in general. 4. Any other suggestions would be welcome for consideration. Guest guest
Namaste Anandaji, First of all, on behalf of all readers let me congratulate and thank you for your inestimable contributions to this list over the last few months, and your assurance of continuing to answer questions on the topic of Sri Atmananda's teachings. We shall spend this month of January to 'digest' your '8- course meal', and get ready for Nirmalaji's postings on Amritanubhava in February. Incidentally, in addition to Benjamin-ji's pointers of on-line links, one book of special interest related to Amritanubhava is Balsekar's translation of it. As his teacher, Nisargadatta, also was from the same Natha sampradaya as Jnaneshvara, anyone who has access to this book would be well placed to elaborate on the text. [RAMESH BALSEKAR Experience of Immortality] Having said that, we need to plan further ahead for the rest of the year - Sri Dennis Waite and Sri Madathil Nair are next in line, but anyone else who is ready can also be scheduled (earlier or later according to their convenience). To allay the shyness/fear of other prospective leaders, I would like to state that the lead article may be short and need not be necessarily long or in many parts. It can be in the form of a long question too! Bhaskarji, please let us know when you are ready. Guest guest
Namaste Sunderji. Don't let Anandaji off the hook yet. I am afraid I have something to ask him which sure will have him pour more of his wisdom in January. I am still choosing my words in response to his reply in the midst of a heavery schedule of office and personal work. With Nirmalaji around with a very promising topic, I don't think we have to overtax oursleves during the first month of the new year. Let us, therefore, take it easy. I stand committed with purnamatha... I have no material in hand as yet and, in the circumstances, will bank on the backyard of my mind and common-sense and of course on the wisdom of fellow members. On Dennisji's prodding, I am trying to advance it to Feb. but not sure if I can make it due to other personal commitments. However, please rest assured I am there for March. However, no promises that I can make my lead post short, the unabashed talker I am. I only hope that pUrnNamatha.. gives us sufficient scope to endure through a full month. With such wonderful audience around, why not?! We did that with a non-topic - "Light in Enlightenment"! PraNAms. Madathil Nair
