It is hard to generalize about 'Indian bacground'! At least personally, the 'What' question was more important than the 'Why' one. There is no doubt that exposure to the Hindu scriptures, not to mention the cultural attitudes, cushions the transition from a doubter to a believer! Many thanks again.
