Guest guest
Namaste, In line with recent discussions, here is an interesting article on Shankara and Maya. http://tinyurl.com/2cuxm This article makes one point we should remember: Shankara was a realized mystic, trying to express his ineffable vision, and not a philosopher in the modern sense. We must therefore not assume airtight logic and consistency in his views. Otherwise, he would never use an expression like 'is, is not, neither is nor is not, etc', which he DOES use. But then, our own deluded and imperfect nature is ultimately inconsistent with the sole reality of Brahman, so there IS a problem ... which vanishes with the dawn of Knowledge. Hari Om!
