Guest guest
Namaste Respected Members, A number of postings have appeared on “Why Do things Exist”. I could not go through all of them, as I was away for about ten days and I had no access to a computer. When we say, “Why do things exist” we are accepting that “things do exist”. The question is why do they exist. >From my very little knowledge of Advaita, particularly, I may be permitted to mention the following: First of all, all things, which can be grouped as “Idam” including Eswara, are “created” or “srushti”, i.e. everything other than “Aham”. Each and every creation has a “purpose”, otherwise it is not creation. Therefore, existence of things does have a purpose. It is for the Jivas, irrespective of the Yonies from where they come, to exhaust their “Prarabdha” and also to engage in further “karmas”. Actually, the things had been “ordered” by the jives only for their Bhoga (experiencing). Is the food there because of hunger, or the other way around, i.e. since there is hunger food is there? Creation is just wonderful. Thirst is there for Jivas, water is there, etc. Without existence of things, there cannot be Karma, as Karma involves dwaita. However, only in the case of Jivas coming out of Manava Yoni, they have “Karma Swathanthryam” and that is why there is Purushtartha for human beings. In the case of other Jivas, their karma is mostly programmed (this is what it appears from their behavior), and the degree of “Karma Swathanthryam” for them is very little. Their karms are only to exhaust the karma phalas, particularly Prarabdha, accrued to them. Only in the case of human beings, the existence of things is not only for exhaustion of particularly Prarabdha, but also for earning further karma phalas/or to get totally free from Karma phalas by getting self knowledge. I hope learned members will help me to clear the above. With warm regards and Hari Om, Mani Get better spam protection with Mail
