Guest guest
Namaste, After sending the previous post in reply to Madathil Nairji's question about "Gunas are three; Varnas are four. How does 'four' arise from 'three'?", I felt it is rather unfair for me to ask readers to go through three long posts to get the answer to this question. Though I have also given web page references to my site, I think it is fair to tell you exactly on what page, the direct answer to the above question occurs. Here they are: http://www.geocities.com/profvk/thetype4.html http://www.geocities.com/profvk/thetype5.html But again, I must warn you that this gives only the page where the answer appears. For the explanation of the jargon and notations, one has to read most of the chapter on 'The Type' (referred to in the earlier post). The three posts referred to on the advaitin (as an alternative) constitute only a summary. PraNAms to all advaitins profvk
