Guest guest
Namaste Chitteranjanji, Your point about Astanga yoga as a practice that reflects a theoretical base was well taken. Immersion, focus and absorption are a path away from the natural bounce back of a mind spinning its own web about the hapless object now reduced to a pallid image. "We jump from picture to picture and cannot follow The living curve that is breathlessly the same." Louis MacNeice Let me say that even to be speaking of an 'object' is to have fallen into prose. Who told us to carve the world at such and such a joint? The power that we bring to the world has its shape wrought by evolution. The same power informs the object and the confluence of the two is knowing itself as that object and localising the knowledge. Your ruminations on adhyasa will be interesting, Best Wishes, Michael.
