Dear Balaji, it is very clear from your above post that you are not familiar either with SankarAchArya's works or his advaita darshana. You have already reached some wrong conclusions with your self-effort or you are been misguided by some books. So it is futile to discuss these things with you. Maybe we will discuss about Kailas and the degree of coldness there some other time. I request you to take up His works and try to assimilate His teaching. Understanding the true import of the Veda-s is enough for enlightment. Meditation is not necessary. Please understand this. With no personal grudge at heart, I am stepping out of this discussion. There was a message posted by one learned member long back. "He who knows not and knows that he knows not is simple, teach him. He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool, leave him. He who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep, wake him. He who knows and knows that he knows is wise, follow him. " Best of lucks. Guest guest
Babu Moshay! Happy Durgashtami! nice quote ... "He who knows not and knows that he knows not is simple, teach him. He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool, leave him. He who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep, wake him. He who knows and knows that he knows is wise, follow him. " A timely reminder... here is one that i luv! The scholar needs to know more and more each day. The follower of Tao needs to know less and less each day. By lessening knowledge one reaches inaction. By inaction everything can be done. The world is won by those who leave it alone. When one feels compelled to dominate, the world is already beyond reach. Guest guest
Namaste: In the same context, the following quotation from Colton is a good one: " There is this difference between happiness and wisdom that he that thinks himself the happiest man really is so; but he that thinks himself the wisest is generally the greatest fool." regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, "adi_shakthi16" <adi_shakthi16> wrote: > Babu Moshay! > > Happy Durgashtami! > > > nice quote ... > > "He who knows not and knows that he knows not is simple, teach him. > He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool, leave > him. > He who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep, wake him. > He who knows and knows that he knows is wise, follow him.
