Guest guest
our beloved Bala-ji writes... "Again I like your spirit of posting on bhakti dadiji. May the sun of egolessness (it is only this sun that is talked of in even the Gayathri mantra, when it says Tat savitu) dawn upon all of us and do away with the darkness of this ignorance. " Balaji , Adi Shankara Bhagavatpaada in his Gita Bhashya , referred to the infinite good and Aatma gyaana and moksha that will come with chanting the names of four G's GANGAA, GAAYATRI, GITA ANDGOVINDA. OUR BELOVED Shankara says that Gitasaastram is sarvasaastrasvarupam; Haribhagavaan is sarvadevasvarupi; Gangaa is sarvatirthaswarupum ;Govinda-Gaayatri mantra is sarvavedamayam. Among all the scriptures, Srimad Bhagwat Gita is the best. Among all the Gods, Hari (Govinda) is the Ultimate DEITY. Among all the sacred pilgrimage spots, Ganga is the most supreme . Among all the mantras, Gayatri mantra is the Mother of all mantras. In the Baja Govindam stotra also, there is a verse which goes like this ... bhagavad.h giitaa kiJNchidadhiitaa gaNgaa jalalava kaNikaapiitaa . sakRidapi yena muraari samarchaa kriyate tasya yamena kim charchaa Let a man but read from the Gita, Drink of the Ganges but a drop, Worship but once the Lord Almigthy, And he will set at rest forever, All his fear of the King of Death. In another place in the Same Baja govindam stora, there is a verse goes like this ... geyam giitaa naama sahasram< dhyeyam shriipati ruupamajasram neyam sajjana sange chittam< deyam diinajanaaya cha vittam< Regularly recite from the Gita, meditate on Govinda (Vishnu) in your heart, and chant His thousand glories. Take delight to be with the noble and the holy. Distribute your wealth in charity to the poor and the needy! ********************************************************************** Balaji, this is why I love to read professorji's series on The Saundarya Lahari for this very same reason bacause it is full of "Bhakti=Pravaham" .... take care , dear one! Advaita is not about winning arguments or debates ... mandana misra or Bharati misra notwithstanding - it is about recognizing that the same 'atma' that resides in me , . resides in Balaji, ranjit etc... Till that realization dawns ... we are all groping in the darkness! Have you read Manisha Panchakam ! Hari Aum!
