Guest guest
Dear Balaji, You have been misinterpreting advaita and saying all along that you are following SankarAchArya's words. It is very clear from your posts that you have not read any of His works. However, you dont seem to admit that. Try practising 'satyam' before stepping into inner control, outer control, ashTAnga yoga or anything else. I humbly request you to take up His works for study. Mere human speculation which is not in tune with the veda-s are not valid. Our AchArya-s have shown us the path. Why dont you atleast try it, instead of making your own theories? Balaji, for your information, Patanjali's Yogasutra doesnt come under vedAnta. Regarding my orthodox and non-secular views, I am a devotee of SankarAchArya and I cannot stand it when something other than advaita is preached under His label. I know that this attachment is a hindrance to my evolution. But I cant help it. So please do not take my mails in the wrong sense. It was all out of my devotion to AchArya. I apologize if I have hurt anyone in this group with my posts. I was very much new to advaita when I joined this group last year. All the messages from the members in this group has helped me a lot in my sAdhana and I thank each one of you for that. But now I feel that my involvement in this group is affecting my sAdhana and I believe that it is time for me to continue my search for the Truth. May the blessings of BhagavatpAda be with all of us. Guest guest
Namaste Ranjeetji, Is this some sort of a farewell post? I hope not. There is a lot in common between you and me. When I came to this list in late 2001, I was not exactly new to advaita. But for all that I really understood about it, I might as well have been. Much of what I know about advaita today I learnt from this list. I also learnt that it is absolutely essential to have a guru and I have found one in Swami Paramarthananda from whose tapes I am learning the upanishads and Bhagwad Gita in a 'traditional way'. Once in a way I take a trip to Chennai and offer my pranams to him. I continue to learn from this list and find it to be a great source of inspiration for continuing with my sadhana. Guest guest
Namaste Ranjeetji, Let me join Venkatji in hoping that your post is not a farewell message. From what I have seen in this list, you are the most effective guard at the post of Advaita. There is nobody here that does the job better of keeping us in check when our minds begin to run away to give alien meanings to the Acharya's texts. Warm regards, Chittaranjan advaitin, S Venkatraman <svenkat52> wrote: > Namaste Ranjeetji, > > Is this some sort of a farewell post? I hope not. There is a lot in common between you and me. Guest guest
Namaste Ranjeetji, I really hope, that was not a farewell post. Please do not take my words so negatively. If you think, I need correction, you are free to correct me. At the same time, I am aslo free to show my point. I have tried to give each point of yours a lot of consideration. We all must do so, right? But in this instance, if you read my reply to Sri Stig's response which I posted today only, I hope you would understand the reason for all this debate. Please don't take these things personally. -Balaji
