It seems that spammer is certainly reading all the messages!

Immediately after Sri Rghavakaluri's message, the spammer was able to

send a message using his email address. I suggest the members to do

the following steps to protect their email address and also the list.

It is also possible that some genius computer expert is able to

generate message using our member's identity (for example,

madhathilnair and raghavakaluri). In both the cases they represent an

email address. I think that there is some glitch in the

security which enables the spammer to do this damage.

 

The problem has been reported to and they are looking into

this. Meanwhile members with ID should periodically change their

passwords to avoid this problem. Please do not access unreliable

websites and specifically do not enter your userid and password at

those sites. Most of us want convenience and tend to use the same

userid at many places and it seems such actions are vulnerable and

subject to misuse by spammers.
