Guest guest
our beloved professorji writes... In fact I would like to stop my postings of Shata-shlokI, if it is likely to divert your audience -- though in beginning it, my opinion was that it would be very light compared to the RV discussion, and probably > would meet the needs of some beginners on advaita. Professorji, please don't! rthe shata sloki postings are complimentary to the Rg Veda postings - they sdo not in any way come into conflict with the Vedic verses.... What could be more blissful to hear the shruthi and to read ADI SHANKARA's Slokas - we are virtually in 'PARADISE' .... here is what one of the members of my group wrote in appreciation of professorji's shata sloki posts ... pyari_h" <pyari_h Wed Jun 2, 2004 12:51 pm Re: Shata-shlokI of Shankara - 1,2 of 101 Namaste. Heartfelt thanks for these priceless contributions. zankaraM zankarAcAryaM kezavaM bAdarAyaNaM sUtra bhASyakRtau vande bhagavantO punaH punaH I have heard many times from Jagadguru Sri Kripaluji Maharaj that Satguru is more 'alaukika' than the philosopher's stone which is capable of turning any metal only into gold. Sri Guru, the God-realized Master, turns his fully surrenered soul into another philosopher's stone which in turn is capable of transforming more metals into gold, i.e. reaching out to as many souls as possible. In this way 'loka kalyaaNa' is achieved to a greater extent by the Saintly Guru on the earth. Jaya Sri Radhey! Dear all, i agree with my friend 100%. It has been established that everyone has the right to the knowledge (of Brahman) and that the supreme goal is attained by that knowledge alone." Sarveshaam chaadhikaaro vidyaayaam cha sreyah: kevalayaa vidyaayaa veti sidham (Taittriyopanishad, Sikshavalli 2) so, professorji! pl continue! it is rarely that we read such gems on the web ( yours and Knightji's excellent exposition on the rig veda.) People who know do not normally have the time to share . SO, it is indeed great of you anfd knightji to take the time to share all this knowledge with us! we are very fortunate... love and regards
