You have to cultivate a 'taste' for it and you have to be in a 'mood' fot it. But there is always a first time ... Once you start listening to Indian music, it grows on you . Thus is one site i often use ( which you have already mentioned) ! one must know how to navigate around this site in order to enjoy different kinds of indian music, from the classical to cine music - instrumental to vocal. Another site i frequent is http://www.sangeetham.com but that is real Classical stuff and is mostly in classical ragas sung in indian languages ... again, it is all about cultivating a taste for indian music! once you start enjoying listening to it, you cannot do without it! it is addictive !
