Namaste Dennisji and all

After a quick rescue act by Madathilji I dropped the idea of

attempting the lucknow practise. So My heart does concur with your

views. The offshoot that interests me now is the idea of 'interim

delusion' you refer to in your post above. Most Sadhana could fall

into this category. Let me hasten to explain.

Lets take the example of Surrender. When I started off ( and even

today) it was not perfect.I would think, not being evolved, I must

have been *faking* surrender ( though somewhere deep within there was

a prayer to please make it purer and purer). From when I started off

to today, there is a sense of greater and greater inner peace as the

surrender Bhava is getting better. But, quite obviously, it is not

perfect yet - as evidenced by the repeated mental analysis and

worries over matters already entrusted to that to which one is trying

to surrender to.

In this entire interim period, until ignorance is completely removed,

is not the attempt to practise surrender a kind of self delusion (

albeit a Sattvic one)? Similar question may be attached to virtually

every practise that we attempt- working without sense of doership,

renunciation of fruits of action etc. In the interim state where

there is some kind of intellectual appreciation but not the complete

experience will not every sadhana be a bit of self delusion?

Many namaskarams to all

Sridhar
