Waves Conference - Meet Professorji, Sadaji, Yaduji and Benji!!!!

It is a 3 day conferenceon Hinduism starTing on Friday the 11th july

and ending on july 13th at the shadygrove university of maryland

CAMPUS, rockville, Maryland. This location is just a stone's throw

from my house!!!

 

Benji, professorji (vk) and sadananaji and Yaduji ( all advaitin

group members) ) are presenting a paper!!

 

Yaduji's paper is on Friday afternoon!He is going to talk about Sri

Suktam. You know our yaduji! He always gives fresh perspective on

everything and he does it so well comibnining humor and wisdom!

 

Professorji will be presenting a paper on Sunday. I ado not know the

topic. But, we expect great things from him. He is a scholar and a

practicing bhakta of the Great Mother ! You have all read his

translation of Saundarya lahari in this group and you know

the Great Mother and Acharya speak through him!His web site 'science

and spirituality' is a treasure house of Knowledge !!

 

Benji? what can i say about benji? ONE minute he is posting BBC

links, next minute he is talking about shunyavada in BuddhisM and

the third minute he is like Baby Krishna, all naughty and playful! i

am sure his paper will be far from Boring!!!Btw, benji! if you want

to meet lovely , spiritual Hindu women , here is your chance! ON

SATURDAY NIGHT, THEY ARE HAVING A BANQUET!!! smiles!!

 

and what can i say about Sada-ji? OUR Gita-acharya ? Can a lotus

flower ever praise the shining rays of the Morning sun?He is the SuN

of knowledge and wisdom! Sadaji is well versed in all the

scriptures. I am told that every sunday he delivers lectures at the

Chinmaya mission in Virgina and Our beloved sri ramachandranji will

testify that Sadaji is an expert on Gita ! AND GUESS WHAT ! he is

very humble too ! Wisdom and humility- a wonderful combination!(

knowledge is proud it knows so much; wisdom is humble it knows no

more!!)

 

 

Be prepared to spend $150 for the 3 day event or $75 for

one day !

 

the $150 fee includes breakfast, lunch, dinner (banquet on saturday

night ) and a $30 day late registration fee !

 

Btw, the same weekend AmmachI is in town!!!

To tell the truth, a combination of age and Advaita have made

me lose interest in the opposite sex. Not that I am becoming

interested in my own either... It's all dissolving into a dream.

Once you get addicted to peace of mind, everything else is so

much trouble. Actually, I'm rather glad I still have my freedom.

However, I still love beauty ... not the same as lust.

 

This whole conference should be really good. There is a

cornucopia of intriguing abstracts. I was going to read

my paper verbatim, then I had a flash of inspiration and

realized viewgraphs would be better. Reading from a

paper will bore people, and with viewgraphs, the main

points are outlined and one can easily skip material if

time is running out. (You see, as an engineer, I assumed

that viewgraphs were only for technical presentations.)

 

I've heard Sadaji before, and he is a really good public

speaker. It will be interesting to meet other members from

this list, though I expect some frowns in my general direction.

Not that I care. That too is a dream...
