(English word spellings themselves being so irregular!) Here is an attempt to try the feat: GH as in (gh)ost RI " t(rue) N " a(n)d I " (i)nk --------------------------- A as in f(a)ther D " (th)e I " (i)nk T " pi(t)h YA " (yea)rn For a survey of other attempts, including sound files, pl. visit: http://www2.arts.gla.ac.uk/IPA/ipachart.html http://www.sanskrit-sanscrito.com.ar/english/rest/quick.html http://acharya.iitm.ac.in/sanskrit/lessons/lessons.html http://asignoret.free.fr/index_ang.html http://www.msc.uky.edu/sohum/sansk.html Regards, Sunder
