Guest guest
Dear Counselor Greg-ji, a simple question for you! If one of your patients Mistook A ROPE FOR A SNAKE when it was pitch dark, what would you call it- a genuine mistake, right? super- imposition? on the contrary, if the patient mistook the Rope for a snake in broad daylight , would you call it 'paranoia' or visual hallucination? or better still, if he/she hears the Rope 'hiss' would you call it 'auditory hallucination'? Then the patient 'dreams' all the time about Rope being the Snake, how would you interpret this dream? AND even after knowing it is a Rope and not a snake, if the patient jumps over the rope, what would you call it? being cautious or foolish? now imagine this ... If the patient sees a 'snake' and mistakes it for a rope, would you call it ignorance or a case of mistaken identity? or better still, if the patient is a Jnani (a self-rea;ized soul) and upond seeing the 'snake' thinks 'All is brahman' and remains unperturbed , what happens then? Greg-ji, go beyond these case scenarios, and Let us know as an advaitic counselor, how would you deal with these?

If so, could you say it in a different way so I can understand the question a bit better?
