Guest guest
hey BEN! Well, i must concede victory to you - for the maximum number of messages in a day!!! Seven in all!!! The Queen of messages bows down to the new King of messages!! so what was all that nervous energy all about? all because of a dental surgery? The dentist's chair should not be a big deal to a confirmed Buddhist ... You do not need any Novacaine. All you needed was to close your eyes and meditate on 'AUM mani padme hun' ... you would not have felt a thing. Anyway, hope your surgery went well. here is something to bring that smile (toothless) Back! lol!! when Buddha died in 463 B.C., numerous cities argued to claim his remains. Consequently, his body was distributed in parts. Today, the sacred TOOTH of Buddha is enshrined in Ceylon in a temple called The Temple of the Tooth! There, once a year, is held The Festival of the Sacred Tooth, during which time thousands of Buddhists bow down to worship the TOOTH as it is carried down the street on the back of an elephant! Guest guest
Namaste Adiji, >sacred TOOTH of Buddha is enshrined in Ceylon in a temple >called The Temple of the Tooth! There, once a year, ... My Swamiji had a funny joke when I told him about my dental surgery. I said, 'Swamiji, this will be a good occasion to practice Advaita. I must realize that I am not the tooth, and everything will be OK' He said, 'That is right. You are not the tooth. You are the TRUTH!' :-) Hari Om! I know of a *doctor* who is annoyed at his dental bills! And it doesn't seem all that hi-tech either. I think I could have taken my own tooth out with a pair of pliers. And screwed the new one in with a simple screwdriver... OK. Off topic ... and third and last message for the day. Hari Om! Benjamin
