Guest guest
Hello All, It may be confusing to some that so many respected spiritual teachers seem to have conflicting philosophical views. The reason for that is really quite simple, they are not philosophers. Nisargadatta or whoever can say what is indistinguishable from Idealism if that advances the sadhana of his target audience. They have to start somewhere and that approach is readily understood and has all the ingrediants that by a progressive refinement can be altered to a more subtle understanding. Sankara because he was involved in polemical clarification has to create the boundries that others might ignore. In any case the argument from authority is the weakest (rational) argument so finally what is persuavive is sound coherent reasoning. Best Wishes, Michael.
