Guest guest
Respected Advaitins, Namaste IMHO, “Athhatho Brahma jignasa” includes this but for common people “Moksha” is something after death. Since there is no knowledge as to what happens to one after “death” we do not know what exactly is this Moksha if it is after one’s death. All want to be happy and remain in happiness. Everyone knows and work for it. There is no question about that. With regard to Moksha, is it an event or a state one has to look forward? If it is so, it would be time-bound and after the so-called Moksha what happens? Is Moksha opposed to bandhana, like the two sides of a coin? IOW, Is Moksha relative? If so what is that “coin?” Are Moksha and Bandhana are just points of view? These are some of the questions that need to be addressed. May I request our learned members to do a bit of “Moksha Jignanas” from the views of various schools such as Advaita, Dwaita, Vishishstaadwaita, Budhism, Jainism, etc. Warm Regards Hari Om Mail is new and improved - Check it out! If you would like to review Sw. Vidyaranya's 'Jivan-Mukti-Viveka' (available in the Files section of this list), we can schedule it as on eof the Monthly Topics. Hope you accept this invitation.
