Guest guest
Namaste, All Respected Advaitins, “Asadoma Sad Gamaya” Who prays so? If he is Asad or Unreal, the fellow cannot pray this, being non-existant. If he is Real, he need not make this prayer. Still we all pray “Asadoma Sad Gamaya”. The Real, when expresses itself, attributes seem to be attached to It. One cannot have any special Experience, through the five organs of knowledge backed by the mind, of the Real without the Attributes or Upadhies being there. It is Agrahyam, i.e. not graspable, Adrusyam, not seeable, etc. That is It is /will be never an object of knowledge, as It is Knowledge Itself. It is ignorance of one’s Real Nature that has lead to his/her conclusion that he/she is Asad or Unreal. There is an error in his/her judgment and this error has resulted in his/her being not able to recognize or appreciate that he/she is Really Real. So, the Ignorant one though Real in essence, can pray “Asadoma Sad gamaya” All the Upanishads and the Bhashyas on them are only unfolding this Truth, that we are Real or Aham Brahmasmi, by correcting our judgment by removing our ignorance. There cannot be two parallel Reals The One and Only Real only expresses or manifests itself as manifold, including “you and me” and whatever is seen/known and unseen/unknown.
