Guest guest
Namaste Prof et al, "Sri Daya Mata, president of Self-Realization Fellowship, went to India in 1959, and in an interview with one of India's great spiritual leaders, His Holiness Sri Bharati Krishna Tirtha, the Shankaracharya of Puri, she mentioned that she had been told that Jesus "spent some of his life in India, in association with her illumined sages. His Holiness replied, 'That is true. I have studied ancient records in the Puri Jagannath Temple archives confirming those facts. He was known as "Isha," and during part of his time in India he stayed in the Jagannath Temple. When he returned to his part of the world, he expounded the teachings that are known today as Christianity'"[20]. . . [Excerpts from Mason's book, In Search of the Living God, Chapter 4] " Dear Prof, Has anybody checked the records at Puri, Jagganath Temple etc for records on Sankar, which would be later than Jesus/Isa? AS you know I am researching a book on Jesus, and there is hardly any 'facts' available, even the gospels are not reliable. So I am relying on His teachings rather than anything else. So it seem the same with Sankara.................ONS...Tony.
Guest guest
In my humble opinion: These claims are not new to us. You can find a lot of material on this subject if you search on the Internet. Buddhistic and Islamic religions have also actively claimed that Jesus belongs to them :-) For example have a look at this link: http://www.tombofjesus.com/home.htm I would not really bother to attribute Jesus's origin to any other religion. A simple question is "How does it matter?!". I see it a point of arrogance from any religion to discard a great master by attibuting his origin to their religion. Great masters have walked all over the planet. It should not matter where they have come from, what should matter to us is "what they are trying to point out"..
