Guest guest Posted August 15, 2004 Report Share Posted August 15, 2004 Dear all: In the context of real & Unreal and as seen in this jagata I reall a shloka (If some one knows it's exact reference I would highly appreciate it): In the context of real & Unreal and as seen in this jagata I reall a shloka (If some one knows it's exact reference I would highly appreciate it): pulli.ngaM sarva iishaanaM striali.ngaM bhagavati umaa | vyaktaM sarva uamaaruupaM avyaktaM maheshvaraH || In kenopaniShda upaniShadakaa enquires about what is behind this what we perceive and may help us further our understanding of reality: shrotrasya shrotraM manaso mano yat | vaaco ha vaacaM sa praNasya praaNaH || caxuShashcaxuH atimucya dhiiraaH | pretyaasmaallokaat amR^itaa bhavanti || 2 || Meaning - The one who is the ear of ear, the mind of the mind, eye of the the eye and praaNa of the praaNa. Going beyond these perceptions j~naaniloka realize the amRta tatva (brahaman). The above was the answere to the question in the previous shloka: keneShitaM patati praShitaM manaH | kena praaNaH prathamaH paiti yuktaH || keneShitaaM vaacamimaaM vadanti caxuH | shrotraM ka u devo yunakti || 1 || Meaning - Whose desire mind gets it's motivation? Whose desire does the life force "praaNa" unites with the body? What motivated force resulted in the speech? Who uses these perceptive organs (eyes & ears) for work?
