Can anyone tell me the proccess a mantra helps people to fasten one's spiritual

progress? what is the relation between it and the brain?

If I could make a recommendation, the late Eknath Easwaran was a

Keralan-American English Professor, translator of Indian scriptures

and author of many books on spirituality. He recommended mantra-yoga

as one of his 8 points in spiritual growth.
