Namaste Pilgrim Community, On that note we shall conclude the topic of Real and Unreal, EXCEPT for Sri Chittaranjan-ji, who will be the ONLY one who will post anything on this thread. All other related messages can be sent to him to his personal address in private e-mail. We shall observe silence on this topic till the next one is introduced, no later than Sept. 1, 2004. One or more moderators will be posting scriptural verses for MEDITATION ONLY, NOT for comments. Aug. 31st is the sixth anniversary of this List, and we congratulate and appreciate every single member who has found this niche in the cyber-space a haven for spiritual peace. We sincerely look forward to your continued support. A few reminders : PLEASE 1. Retain only the minimum relevant portions of a message when replying to it; 2. BE BRIEF. Try not to exceed 30 lines (1 page) or 2 paragraphs. 3. Do not copy/paste lengthy passages; just give the URL. 4. Simple messages of Thank you, Congratulations, need be sent only to the person they are intended for, rather than the whole list. 5. Send all questions realed to administarative issues to the moderators. 6. Refer frequently to FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) File, and suggest modifications or additions. We thank you all again, and wish you another great 'pilgrimage' during the next year. List Moderators

I would like to thank the moderators for taking this step of bringing in a period on silence on the topic of the 'Real and Unreal'. The discussions had indeed gone beyond a point where it was serving its intended purpose, and I accept a share of blame in letting this happen. I would also like to apologize to those that I may have offended during the discussion. By calling for a period of silence, the moderators have demonstrated not only their wisdom but also shown that the group is in sound hands. I see that I have been given the privilege of having the sole right to post messages on the topic during the period of silence. But I feel it would not be right on my part to post on the topic when those that may have disagreement with my views don't have the opportunity to voice their dissent. I therefore join the other members in remaining silent. After all, the Truth speaks loudest in the hush of silence! I would like to take leave of this post with a poem by Hafiz, the Sufi saint-poet of Persia. WE HAVE NOT COME TO TAKE PRISONERS We have not come here to take prisoners But to surrender ever more deeply To freedom and joy. We have not come into this exquisite world To hold ourselves hostage from love. Run my dear, >From anything That may not strengthen Your precious budding wings. Run like hell my dear, >From anyone likely To put a sharp knife Into the sacred, tender vision Of your beautiful heart. We have a duty to befriend Those aspects of obedience That stand outside of our house And shout to our reason "O please, O please, Come out and play." For we have not come here to take prisoners Or to confine our wondrous spirits, But to experience ever and ever more deeply Our divine courage, freedom, and Light!
