namaskaar all,

as yadu ji describe the importance of atmasaaxxaatkara, i would like to add

something to it as said by Sri Shankaracharya in vivek chudamani. He simply says

that the study of scriptures is useless even if the Highest Truth is known & is

useless even if It is known. He advises to avoid the dense forest of words ehich

just confuses the sadhaka & asks to seek the knowledge of own true nature. as He

says in gurvashtkam--

a man may have the knowledge of vedas with their six auxillaries but what if

one's mind be not attached to the lotus feet of Guru, what thence, what thence,

what thence.

on the shravan, manan & nidhidhyasan i would like to quote something from japuji

sahib when Guru Nanak Dev ji say--

Guru's word is naada, Guru's words are vedas & by understanding Guru's words one

realizes the ever pervading God.

so, Guru's words are to be listened & contemplated upon.

lastly, i would like to the talk about a support in sadhana which yama himself

describes as the best support--OMKAAR.

and yama says -- this suport is the best, this support is supreme.

knowing this suuport one gets loiberated.

pranaams to all,

gautam.
