Guest guest
Beloved Chitta writes... ( Yes, Maniji, in bhakti, the ego dissolves in the floodlight of the Infinite, and its tears spring from the fount of ananda in the Self. In bhakti, there is no practice at all: the bhakta is the flute through which the supernal music flows, and in the ecstatic dance of divine madness, the flute, the music, and the Musician merge into One Ineffable Bliss. ) Oh! Oh! You did not mention 'Flute' did you ? At the very mention of FLUTE, the heart leaps and there appears the Beautiful Form of the FLUTE-PLAYER , none other than Our VENU-GOPALA !! ( VENU MEANS fLUTE AND VENU GOPALA MEANS LORD KRISHNA)! How can any woman ( or bhakta) WITH A GOPI-HEART be ever awake after hearing Krishna's Flute? This is the state of Tan-mayata ( the bhakta merges with the Object of worship) ! Bhakta Surdas expresses this sentiment thus ... When Hari puts the flute to his lips The still are moved and the moving stilled; Winds die, the river Yamuna stops, crows fall silent and the deer fall senseless; bird and beast are stunned by his splendour. A cow, unmoving, dangles a grassblade from her teeth; Even the wise can no longer hold firm their own minds." --Sur Das YES! dear-hearts! We are discussing Bhakti - devotion.... in Bhakti marga, 1) Salokyam (perception of the Divine) is the first step 2) Sameepyam (proximity to the Divine) is the second, 3)Sarupyam (identity with the Divine) is the third and Sayujyam (merger with the Divine) is the fourth. In that divine Union of the Jivatma with the Paramatma, there is only sheer ecstasy! Enjoy the call of the flute!!! ( the Nada , the Laya and Rasa ) LOVE
