Nirguna Manasa Puja

[The Mental Worship of the Absolute Spirit]

 

shiShya uvaacha ..

 

akhaNDe sachchidaanande nirvikalpaikaruupiNi .

sthite.advitIyabhaave.api kathaM puujaa vidhIyate .. 1..

 

akhaNDe = (in the ) indivisible

sachchidaanande = Brahman (denoted as Existence-Knowledge-Beatitude)

nirvikalpa = free of diversity

ekaruupiNi = of the form of Unity

sthite = existing

advitIyabhaave = (in the) state of Non-duality

api = also

kathaM = how

puujaa = worship

vidhIyate = performed (as scripturally prescribed)

 

The Disciple asks (the Teacher) –

 

How is Brahman, free of diversity, of the nature of unity and also

non-duality, to be worshipped

according to scriptural modes?
