Guest guest
Namaskaram everybody, I am new to this group and like to introduce myself shortly. I am currently living in Berlin with my husband and son. I am a psychologist/therapist working with chronic drug addicts. My husband is from India and runs a restaurant. I have lived in India and in 1995 I had the great good fortune to be called to Arunachala to become a devotee of Ramana Maharshi and a practicing (Atma Vichara) sadhaka. I am a bit of a purist, meaning I am not attracted by any watered down neo-advaitic version of Maharshi's teaching. To me Bhagawan's teaching is perfect. But I am open for discussions. I am looking forward to sharing and learning. Om Namah Shivaya Chris Monsoonhouse Int. Kovalam/Kerala contact: christianecameron

Guest guest
Ohm: No, specific meditation like 'Sarbeshwara Pooja', build us the necessary energy and give us protection ring. This meditation, best performed during the Rahu Kalam time on Sunday's is very powerful. Lord Sarabeshwara is a very rare deity available in some temple pillars in south India only. ohm, rama - "christiane cameron" <christianecameron <advaitin> Sunday, October 17, 2004 2:20 PM Re: Re: another new member > > > thank you Tony, > > I am also a member of ramanamaharshi and the atmavichara group. In the early days of meditation I experienced a 'dead zone',or a plane of nothingness an abyss, and was quite startled by it. I suppose I was expecting meditation to continue as a variation of this plane and it wasn't. Later one expects these zones and doesn't tarry, I suppose, as one's mind becomes the more integrated. I don't know for sure what it was, but it is likely it was the 'River Styx', a border between the material and the astral of some kind. On the other hand it may have been just the ego getting startled by its weakening. I was quite a neophyte at the time, that kind of thing wouldn't bother me now. It is really only preparation for meditation anyway which is above the mind........Why did you ask?..........ONS..Tony.
Guest guest
Thank you Dear Rama, please enlighten, when is the hour of Rahu the serpent's head? I have never heard about Lord Sarabeshara, do you find him in Tamil Nadu?
