Om tat brahma .

Om tat vaayuH .

Om tadaatmaa .

Om tatsatyam.h .

Om tatsarvam.h .

Om tatpurornamaH .

antashcaratati bhuuteshhu guhaayam vishvamuurtishhu .

tvam yaj~nastvam vashhaTkaarstvamindrastvam rudrastvam prajaapatiH .

tvam tadaapa aapo jyotiiraso.amR^itam brahma bhurbhuvassuvarom .

 

The above tract from taittiriiya aaraNyaka captures the vedic spirit

of advaita. this is usually chanted during mantrapushhpam as a part

of puuja in certain traditions.

 

The praNava which is the symbol, icon par excellence is equivalenced

with brahman, vaayu, aatman, satyam, sarvam and beyond.

 

such was the intellectual and metaphysical courage of R^ishhi-s of

yore who even sang for peace "brahma shaanti" in the famed shaantimantra.
