May the (fragrant) sandal paste (application) to the Self be the

meditation

on: 'No one but myself supports this manifest world, a mixture of many

impressions.'

 

aneka = many

vaasanaa = impressions (of desires)

mishra = mixed

prapaJNchaH = manifest world

ayaM = this

dhR^itaH = supported

mayaa = by me

na = not

anyena = (by) someone else

iti = thus

anusandhaanam = meditation

aatmanaH = of the Self

chandanaM = sandal-wood paste

bhavet = (may it) be
