Nairji,

Even at the risk of asking the silliest question ever, may I ask you what the

acronym 'LOL' stands for?

Raviji, who is Shri K. Padmanabha Menon? That is Nairji asking

about Menonji (LOL).

The question of creation - let it remain unanswered. If there was

no creation, there is no question to answer. Then why answer!?

(Again LOL).

venkat-ji !

No question is silly!

LOL is the acronym for Laughing out Loud!

and now we know who Padmanabha menon is - thanks to a response by

Ravi-ji and a question by nair-ji and we have also come to know who

Krishna Menon is .... all along i thought Krishna menon was our ex

defence minister from Kerala ... now i have come to know Atmananda's

other name is Krishna menon and he is the GURU OF SRI Ananda wood - i

have always admired sri wood's contributions and specially his

poems... now, because of Sri Ananda Wood, i would like to know more

about sri Atmananda - and i have read his writings in Dennis waite's

web page !

so, please ask questions, .. because invariably all questions bring

out many responses...

now here is another response to Mahadevadvaita's question ....

(I want to ask all Advaitins a simple question. Do you go see a

doctor when your erroneous misnamed mind or brain tells you something

is wrong with some part of the so called material body ? Do

you entertain the testimony of the material senses in

this particular case ? )

my response from Prashna UPANISHADS

Sixth Question

Then Sukesha Bharadvaja asked him, "Sir,

Hiranyanabha, a prince of Koshala, came to me

and asked this question, 'Bharadvaja,

do you know the Spirit with the sixteen parts?'

I answered the youth, 'I do not.

If I knew it, how could I say I did not know it?

Whoever lies dries up to the roots. Thus I will not lie.'

In silence he mounted his chariot and departed.

Now I ask you. Where is that Spirit?"

The seer answered him, "Even here in the body, friend,

is that Spirit in whom they say arise the sixteen parts.

It thought to itself, 'In whose departure shall I depart,

and in whose staying shall I stay?'

It created the life-breath, from the life-breath faith,

space, air, light, water, earth, senses, mind, food;

from food, virility, discipline, affirmations, actions,

the world; and in the worlds, naming.

"As these flowing rivers move toward the ocean,

and on reaching the ocean are lost,

their name and form destroyed,

and all are called merely ocean,

so all the sixteen parts of the witness move towards Spirit,

and reaching the Spirit are lost,

their name and form destroyed,

and all are called merely the Spirit.

That one continues without parts, immortal.

As to this there is the verse:

'In whom the parts rest

as the spokes in the hub of a wheel,

know that as the Spirit to be known

so that death shall not disturb you.'"

Then he said to them, "Thus far I know the supreme God.

There is nothing higher than it."

and mahadevadvaita - i am glad you are signig off as a 'seeker'

instead of 'advaitin' - this is good... because we are only used to

moderators signig off as 'advaitin(s)' and sometimes i got

confused...

love and regards

Namaste Venkatji.

I thought I asked the sillest question in expressing my ignorance

about Shri Menon. And, lo, here you are beating me to that coveted

title.

LOL, I am told by other electronic veterans, is the abbreviation

for 'laughing out aloud'. The mental image that I get with that

abbreviation is that of our Adiji as she is always smiles and

laughter. That is additional explanation to illustrate the meaning

lucidly. Hope she will forgive me.

PraNAms.
