Namaste,

 

samastavaasanaatyaagaM dhuupaM tasya vichintayet.h .

jyotirmayaatmaviGYaanaM dIpaM sandarshayedbudhaH .. 20..

 

Renouncing all one's desires is to be considered as (burning the)

incense for It (Self) .

The wise one waves the lamp (signifying it) as the illumined knowledge

of the Self.

 

samasta = all

vaasanaa = desires

tyaagaM = renouncing

dhuupaM = incense

tasya = his

vichintayet = consider

jyotirmaya = illumined / of the nature of light

aatmaviGYaanaM = knowledge of Self

dIpaM = lamp

sandarshayet = waving

budhaH = wise
